MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY - NO SCHOOL!

TILE PAINTING - LAST CHANCE!

Tile program painting was such a huge success that we have decided to add another date to accommodate all the students that didn't get a chance to paint. You will have one more opportunity to purchase a tile and come paint, have fun and leave your permanent mark here at Torrey Pines on Wed., May 30th in the lunch arbor at 1:00 pm! TPES SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

TPES is offering a lower and upper grade enrichment program at this summer. The grade 2-3 option will have Mr. Luxon and Mrs. Gillespie as teachers and the upper grade option will have Mr. Ramirez and Mrs. Chiaro as teachers. The session will run from June 18 – July 13 and the cost of the session is $325.00 per child. More details here>>

The Foundation and parent volunteers organize a morning of fun track & field games for all TPES students. Games include hula hooping, baton races, water balloon relays and other fun competitions. All students receive ribbons and a snack after participating. Volunteer needed. Details here>>

MILES AHEAD RUNNING CLUB
HELP COMPLETE 10,000 MILE GOAL!
Can we complete 10,000 miles this year by June 8th? We  counted our laps and as of May 11th we were at 9722 miles!! We only have about 278 miles to complete with 12 running club days left. We can do it TPES! Join us on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:35 am to 8:50 am on the TPES blacktop. Every lap counts!

TPES 2012-2013 ENROLLMENT
Documents Required!
2012-2013 School Year Enrollment for NEW students is now underway.
In order to receive a new student enrollment packet you will need to bring in current residence verification even if you already have children enrolled at Torrey Pines. This verification consists of an SDG&E bill from March or April plus a copy of your lease or mortgage statement. Hours for enrollment are from 9:30 to 11:00 and 1:00 to 2:00 M-F.
Residency verification is NOW DUE for all returning students! A form requesting residency verification was sent home via U.S. mail two weeks ago. If you did not receive the form you can pick one up in the office.
Due to over-capacity issues this year, and possibly next year, we must receive residency verification from you for planning purposes. If you are not returning please mark the appropriate box on the form and return it.

TORREY PINES REACHES PHYSICAL CAPACITY
Due to limited physical capacity, Torrey Pines Elementary School is currently not enrolling students in many grade levels. If you are moving into the area please contact the school office to find out if there is room at your child's grade level or to find out what neighborhood school your child will attend. -Jim Solo, Principal
