HEART & SOLE WALK-A-THON - Feb 14, 1:45pm
LET'S SUPPORT TPES WITH ALL OUR HEARTS & SOLES! 
Our annual Heart & Sole Walk-A-Thon is one of our favorite fundraising events. All students will be participating in this fun event and there will be lots of prizes for them! All funds raised through our Heart & Sole Walk-a-Thon directly support class-size reduction and our specialty teachers such as art, music, P.E.,... Help us make this the best walk-a-thon ever!

AWESOME SPACE FAMILY SCIENCE NIGHT
Tues., January 31, 5:30-7:00 PM, TPES Auditorium
Grades 3, 4 and 5 and their Parents ONLY - no siblings please! (We will be having a second Science Night for Grades K-2 in March. Watch for more information!)

GLEE CLUB
Our last Glee Club meeting for the first session will be on January 31st. The Glee Club will be performing at the Winter Concert on February 2nd. The next session will start on WEDNESDAY, February 15th, and will be changed to Wednesday morning rehearsals instead of Tuesday mornings. The time is still at 8:15 am. If you are in the 4th or 5th grade and new to Glee Club and would like to join, just show up and we'll do a short audition. We hope to see some new faces there! TPES WINTER CONCERT
The Kindergarten students and students in grades 1 and 2 choral will perform on Wednesday evening, February 1st.   The students in grades 3, 4 and 5 orchestra and choral will perform on Thursday evening, February 2nd. Please click here for complete agenda and student check-in times>>

5TH GRADE PARENTS!
MUIRLANDS MIDDLE SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE FOR INCOMING 6th GRADERS, FEB. 9 at 11:30 am
Muirlands Open House for incoming 6th grade parents will be February 9th at 11:30 a.m. They will serve a light lunch while Principal Hargrave gives a presentation. MMS parents will be available to give tours after the presentation.

TPES CHESS CLUB
Feb 9 - 3:25 to 4:45 PM

The Chess Club is having its first meeting on Thursday, February 9th in Room 4. Ongoing meetings will be held each week on Thursdays for the next 6 weeks. We will have 15 minutes of chess instruction and then play chess for the next 45 minutes. We are encouraging students from 3rd to 5th grades, but will be open to younger students who can exhibit the maturity to learn and play. More details and signup here>>

Feb 11 - 1:30 PM
Don't miss this wonderful opportunity for your kids to tour the San Diego Food Bank and learn about the issue of hunger in our community. Due to limited physical capacity, Torrey Pines Elementary School is currently not enrolling students in many grade levels.
