Halloween Carnival 2011

The Torrey Pines Elementary Halloween Carnival was a great success! We raised $8,889 for TPES! Thank you families and friends for supporting TPES! A sincere thank you to all of the carnival committee members, sponsors, donors, volunteers, teachers and room parents who helped to pull off a fabulous, fun, safe and memorable Halloween Carnival.

HAUNTED HOUSE                                                                                                      A big thank you to Eric Brown and the dads who helped make our haunted house the scariest yet!

Our Haunted House is a labor of love that starts going up on Thursday night, continues Friday night and then all day on Saturday.  A lot of time for four hours of frights and screams.  The time that was taken to make it "spooktacular" was greatly appreciated. Thank you!
DECORATIONS
A huge thank you to Marybeth Lenz and her committee for getting all those spiderwebs and  decorations up.  We really appreciated you taking on the task ONE WEEK before the Halloween Carnival. They were perfect!
 
Thank you to Clare Heller for taking all our signs and changing them for this year's Carnival. That was a job!
 

GAMES                                                                                                                    A great big thank you to John May for polishing up our "aged" games and bringing in some new fun games for everyone's enjoyment!!  The buckets were full of tickets, so we know everyone was enjoyed playing them.
 
VOLUNTEER SCHEDULING                                                                                          A huge thank you to Goli Lerner who did the behind the scenes scheduling of our volunteers. It was tricky filling all those spots & I know I didn't help by changing the names of the games at the last minute.  Thank you!!!!

FARMERS MARKET

Thank you to all the families who donated goodies to be sold in the Farmers Market. We would also like to thank Bristol Farms & Trader Joes for their generous donations to our market.

 

REDEMPTION CENTER
A big thank you to Jennifer Anderson for all her hard work in getting all those fun items for the redemption center! It was fun to see all the possibilities of what the redemption tickets could purchase. 

 

CARNIVAL GENERAL STORE
Thank you Jamie Villalobos for taking all our gently used goods and making them look so appealing in the $1 General Store.  
The General Store was a great success & all the leftover books were donated to the Bookman.
  
CAKE WALK
Thank you to everyone who brought a cake for the cake walk!! It made it possible for the cake walk to keep going. A big thank you to Michelle Monet for setting it up and running it!
