How do we intend to meet our fundraising goals this year? The funds raised over the course of the 2008-2009 academic year will go towards funding programs in 2009-2010.  We need your support and participation in some or all of the following fundraising activities in order to meet our financial goals and continue our work of supporting this school community.

Request for Funds Letter - $85,000
We send you a letter and simply ask that you make a tax-deductible donation to the Foundation.  This is the most efficient and cost effective way for us to raise the vital funds we need.  Whether you chose to give $50, $500, or $5,000, we appreciate the support and realize that every dollar counts! Online donations and payment plans are available.

Fall Carnival - $20,000
This annual event has become one of our most successful and profitable fundraisers.  Now in it’s fourth year, this event offers opportunities for both financial support and volunteer participation. Please plan on attending this event . . . it’s a real community builder!

Fall Fundraisers - $5,000
By asking friends, neighbors, and family members to purchase gift wrap, gifts, and coupon books, you are helping support TPESF.

Heart & Sole Walk-A-Thon - $10,000
What a great way to raise money for our school—by exercising!  This fundraiser provides an opportunity for each family to cast a wider net to friends and family outside our community.

Pizza Wednesday - $7,500
This program has grown into a wonderful weekly campus community builder . . . let’s continue the tradition!  Our minimum day on Wednesday just begs for a family picnic.  Grab a pizza and some drinks and hang out on campus talking, playing, and making new friends.

Corporate Fundraising - $5,000
With the help of dedicated Foundation Board members and individuals from our school community, we plan to solicit local businesses and tap this underutilized resource in support of our school programs.

Off-Campus Fundraising - $5,000
This initially began with Ralph’s eScript program, in which a percentage of purchases is donated directly to the Foundation . . . essentially FREE MONEY.  With the persistence and dedication of one Board member, Betsy Meuller, this program has now grown to encompass many retailers and many more opportunities to generate money. The only requirement on your part is to sign-up at the start of the year and then just shop as you normally would. You DO NOT have to provide credit card information.  Please look for information about this program in flyers, The Twig, and future issues of Branching Out.  In addition, this program includes monthly ‘family fun night’ dinners at local restaurants.  Again, these are great community building events.

Ceramic Tile Program - $2,000
By purchasing and painting a ceramic tile, you not only become a permanent part of TPES history, you also help support the Foundation’s mission. Each tile costs $50 and is a fun project for parent and child.  Make this a yearly ritual and watch your family’s art help cover our library walls.

TPES T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, and Merchandise - $1,500
Don’t miss the opportunity to express your school spirit by purchasing this year’s merchandise for yourself and your kids.  Please look for a sales booth on campus as well as information about this year’s stuff in The Twig, Branching Out, and our website.

Yearbook - $1,000
Last year’s book was an incredible work of art, thanks to a tireless volunteer effort. Many families took advantage of the opportunity to invest in such a personal and well done keepsake. Though the yearbook program is not typically a source of revenue, we again have high expectations for this year. Don’t miss out!

Book Fair - $5,000 (Merchandise Credit, so not included in total)
Our Scholastic Book Fair is a great way to buy gifts, help support your child’s classroom library, and expand your own home book collection.  Each book you purchase enables TPES to earn money (credit) that can be spent through Scholastic to provide teachers with furniture and supplies for their classrooms.

Gala - $50,000
Our spring Gala is our largest fundraiser of the year and the most fun, too!  Join TPES parents for an evening out with  silent and live auctions and great food—it’s all for our children!
