TORREY PINES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FOUNDATION We are dedicated to building a fantastic school for our children! |
Challenge
Cliffridge Avenue has a history of traffic collisions and near-misses with vehicles and pedestrians because of its lack of quality streetscape infrastructure. The cul-de-sac bulb, mid-block crossing, three-way intersection at Scenic Place, and Safety Patrol need coordinated improvement.
Opportunity
This community-led project will create temporary improvements to reimagine the route to Torrey Pines Elementary School (TPES), Dan McKinney YMCA (YMCA), Cliffridge Park, and trails by our multicultural community of all ages and abilities.
Community Value
Community-led temporary improvements will lead to long-term, sustainable improvements that are safer, healthier, equitable, and inclusive for our community. Residents and visitors will be safer, healthier, and happier as they access these facilities with little risk of traffic collisions.
Get Involved
Our grass-roots leadership team is led by parents from TPES Foundation and local community members and neighbors in partnership with leaders from TPES, San Diego Unified School District, YMCA, and the City of San Diego. We are looking to engage with a broad, diverse range of community members so please reach out to get involved!
