The Foundation funds a Spanish Languages Educator who provides foreign language and multicultural enrichment for all TPES students. Led by Señora Snider, this program exposes students to the second-most spoken language in the world in a fun and exciting format featuring songs and our favorite puppet - Mama Llama. Students learn relevant and usable vocabulary, Spanish pronunciation, and participate in age-appropriate activities such as singing songs and participating in conversation in Spanish with peers.
The schedule will be shared on the TPES calendar and through classroom teachers.
Señora Snider also plans to provide after-school classes at TPES. Although after-school programs are not Foundation-funded, we encourage student participation and will share these opportunities in our weekly eTwig newsletter.
